Letter
I Will Get Better, Little by Little
A girl still at school writes to her uncle about her grades, family arguments and mistakes she has made. It is almost a letter of self-criticism. She keeps returning to “understanding myself,” “correcting mistakes” and “learning lessons,” but this is no formal report: it holds a young person’s hurt, guilt and stubbornness. Across two pages of “I’m sorry,” she quietly writes about growing up as well.
